A couple of quick questions for ya; 1) How difficult is it to remove the skid plate below the radiator (can I expect to be shearing off alot of bolts?), 2) If I decide to leave the skid plate off, will it weaken the front-end structurally? Seems like the thing is always right in the way whenever I need to get a good look at the underside of the front of the engine . This is an 01 XJ, and my DD, so off-road protection isnt that big of a deal. Thanks in advance!
I have mine and it is very easy to remove. I have never broken any bolts doing it(knock on wood). I take mine off and put it on all the time. Once you do it a couple of times, it get faster and doesn't take to long at all. I would say take it off if it is in your way but keep it around if you change your mind later.
