I have sold my Jeep. I have some parts lying around I need to get gone so make offers. I prefer pick up in Indy.
1. Front tow hooks. The Heavy duty style with the side support brackets and all of the hardware ? I removed them from a 94' XJ and never put them on.
2. Transfer case skid plate and fuel tank skid plate, factory parts. I removed from a 92' XJ.
3. Front seats from a 90' ( I think) "luggage cloth" with light gray vinyl. One is a little dirty but can be cleaned, I cleaned the other and it looks pretty good. No rips good shape over all.
4. Factory swing out tire carrier and mounting hardware. I removed it from a 95' that had been bumped in the rear. It is slightly bent but I feel you could easily bend it back with some heat applied. It has some rust, a little paint or powder coat ?? I was going to fix it up, add a farm jack and fuel can mount, powder coat it and bolt it up.
5. I have the parts removed from my XJ after the lift was installed, 4 shocks (originals, but good?) rear sway bar and mounts, old stock u bolts.
6. I also have some odd parts like the fog light/rear defrost switch, front tweeters, new in the box cup holder, rear gray cargo screen, probably some other small bits.
I'll take the the first reasonable offer on any of it, I have an idea of fair value but "I'm not trying to make any money folks, I just love to sell .....you add the rest ". I just need the stuff out of my truck bed. INDIANAPOLIS 46201
Oh... No... say it isn't so! That was a nice looking XJ!
Curious as to if the gas tank skid would fit a '00 with the plastic tank? Anyone have any idea? If it will, I'll take it. I have NO idea what it's worth though. I hate making offers, I always feel I'm insulting the seller when I don't know the value.

Won't work. The newer skids will fit the older one's with a bit of minor mods, but the older one's will NOT fit without MAJOR mods.

You sure about that adam? ive seen some threads floating around where people have done it with minor mods. (OLD skids to NEWer jeeps)
Interested in the front tow hooks. Will they work on my 2001 XJ? Is all the hardware included? Please send pics to peterkocerka@yahoo.com and what is the lowest amount you will take shipped to Hickory Hills, IL 60457? Thanks
Jeezzzzz.............. IDK do your homework and re read the add !
jakeWI wrote:yeah. well i meant weight wise for the mounting as is. its a general question for anyone to answer. will it hold a 31" tire safely? 33"?
I'd probally try to steer you clear of doing even a 31". The one listed above mounts to the bumper only (aka it's the newer style). The older style mounted to the bumper AND the body with an inner mount and is a bit stronger.
I've seen them not hold up even with a 31" tire. With a bit of mods you may be able to get it to work good. But for the amount of time/money into it your better off making something that ties into the frame rails etc.
I had test fitted a 31-10.50 15 on a factory alu wheel. Same as my other 4. It mounted to the carrier just fine. The mounting is a 2 point style. The lower mounts behind the bumper at the same point it attaches to the frame. The upper is the bracket shown in the pics, it bolts to the lift gate in the license plate light area, a heavy inner and outer bracket. You must relocate the license plate to the lower left corner of the lift gate (parts included). I assume it was designed to carry a factory full size spare so i'm not sure of the load capacity beyond that.
