yeah maybe it was a grand cherokee now that I think about it. I have a 8.25 chrysler. Let me know any specs you may have.
I was also thinking about making my own set up like I did on my old 1985 CJ. I used Chevy truck front calipers from a 1995 1/2 ton, front rotors from a 94 Dodge Ram and I bought a bracket that was made for putting disc brakes on a sand rail and modified that.
That was alot of work so this time I was thinking more about using the Explorer Disc set up or maybe one from a Mustang. These use the four bolt flanges on the axle tube to mount the caliper hanger. Seems like anything else is either too big or just won't work. I am going to check out the ZJ idea and see what that enatils.

Get a set of D35 ZJ rear disc setup. You'll need the mounting brackets, calipars, rotors, and the hoses all from the ZJ. All you have to do is make the center hole on the mounting bracket a bit larger to fit over the tube. This can be done in about 5 mins on each side with a dremel tool. It bolts right on, and the ZJ soft lines will hook upto the 8.25" hard lines.
It's a really straight forward install. Maybe one of these days I'll post up a how-to with pics of it. Hardest part is finding the ZJ parts...
This is what I pull with my 90xj, could use more power on hills. And you want to plan your stops alittle head of time. But gets job done Ok. Gayla also pulls it with her 91 reneagade, but does better on xj. Its only 14ft. I really like the hitch, Meijer for $100, adjustable us it all the time on my rigs.
