I picked up my XJ from the local service shop after it had been alined. Before I took it in the steering was extremely sloppy, the steerwheel was off center(obviously), but noticed no pull in the steering. When I picked it up the guy told me that the "tow bar"(same as trac-bar??) had frozen up, so in order to do the alignment they had to take it off and "work it". He also said that they couldn't get the xj alined back within specifications. Is that normal for a lifted XJ with stock steering?

I then drove it and the steering seems to be SO much sharper! I had no idea the steering would loose so much play after an alignment.
