fender cutting

with a rubicon express 4.5 inch lift will i need to trim the fenders and if i have to about how much?

what size tire are you planning on running?

I run a RC4.5" lift and 33's with fender trimming and really have no rub on the fenders. The tires do hit the LCAs at full lock(i have 4" of back spacing). I don't have sway bar discos, so flex is limited.

I know that RE lifts run tall and appear to be designed better, so I don't imagine you would have any trouble running 33s or smaller with possibly some minor fender trimming for times when you are flexing it out.

Here is my wife's XJ (dogwonk's) sitting on the RE 3.5" with 33's. Only trimming we did was to the lower front quarter to clear at full lock. If you look at the pics you can see where we've trimmed the flare. We also took off about 1" of metal all the way down with the contour of the arch. It's all in how you bumpstop it...

ok thanks most of what i do is mud so i dont have to worry about flexing very much
