Kumho Venture MT vs. Dunlop Mud Rover

Thought I'd get in the discussion.

I'm looking at these two tires in 31X10.50X15.  Prices are close, the Dunlops are a few dollars cheaper, but not enough to sway me one way or the other.  I'm leaning towards the Dunlops.

Looking for opinions based on experience with these two tires.

Thanks.

Can't say I have any "personal" experience with either. I know another popular one in the same price range that everyone is "raving" about is the new tread Cooper STT's. You may want to check these out aswell.

I know the Kuhmo's do run a bit smaller than advertised. From the review's I've read between the Kumho's and te Dunlops I"d put my money in the Kumho's. I've heard really good things about them.

Once again no personal experience, so take it for what it's worth. Go to tirerack.com and read the reviews, I'm sure it will help the decision making.

I've been to tirerack's site.  They don't sell the Kumho MT.  The prices I've got on both were from Discount Tire.  The Kumho's were $117, and the Dunlop's were $106.

I've read the reviews on the Dunlop, and most seem to like it.   On JeepForum, I've read several good opinions on the Kumho, but one guy literally HATES them.  I suppose if the Kumho runs small, I could go up to a 32" tire.

I've also looked at the Trxus MT.  Quadratec has them in 31" for about the same money, $114 I think.

I really havent decided on any brand yet, as the next thing I'm getting will be the rear spring packs anyway.  Just looking for opinions.

Ive had the Kumho's on for about a year or so now. They work great in mud and sand and they arent very loud. I guess my only complaint would be that they kind of wear fast. I have been pretty hard on them. All in all I would buy them again.

I run the Dunlops MT's and so far have had no issues with them. I've heard great things about the Kumhos as well other than they might wear fast. Mine seem to be quieter down the highway than what the BFG at's I was running were. Wear seems to be really good as mine have I would say about 13,xxx miles and still show no noticeable wear.
