RE: AJ's Rails

Thankyou for noticing Im not a basher.....I dont sign on with a club or forum to bash, I do so in an attempt to promote the sport, support a club, add insight or an interesting post when I can and rarely will you find me pushing our parts....If you want them, you want them...if not, I'm beyond kool with your decision......Look at tires, the tires we use out this way make no sense to use in say Florida.....or even Texas, same goes for parts, you know what you need or want.

I added a tid bit to this topic concerning wall thickness of tube, and some of the junk many, many people want to feed you over the internet......you simply will never get the hole story or circumstances.....just what someone is willing to spew......Lets compare that 1st pic with the one I provided.......and Im writing this knowing very little about the 1st pic...Terrian flattens out in pictures, but you can see subject #1 was in the midst of a hill climb.....Im thinking subject #1 had some momentum going up that climb, passenger side of the rig ended up in the air leaving him on 2 wheels.....got hung up while in the air and came down on the berm....if you look thats not even rock, its gravel & smaller rock mix.........as far as the tube, quality of the tube. condition of the tube and the engineering holding it on, well....??...dunno.

Pic #2 of Bic's MJ.....2X3X1/8" tube, no unibody stiffner, 3 outriggers, 2 pinch lip connection areas, bolted '&' lightly welded to the frame with 3/8" plates.....Installed by myself along with all the armor & rear bumper......I can tell you Bic did'nt 'crawl' up that actual 'rock' for a poser pic to get hi-centered, granted its not a huge obstical, but he's still hi-centered and yes he had a'lil skinny pedal in an attempt to get over and came down on the rails.....he forwarded the pics to me along with a letter telling me how happy he was and to now consider the parts fully tested, Bic had the product on his truck for a number of months before we released the product...

So, back on topic, if a rock slider is properly designed, engineered and installed...9 out of 10 times the 1/8" wall tube will be fine, if you plan on throwing your junk off a cliff every weekend and twice on Tuesdays, step up to 3/16" wall.

You really dont want to know why we dont offer 'just' rock rails.

That rear bumper is a highly requested item........not easy to fabricate, I have yet to 'jig-up' to produce it......feel free to duplicate it, I may have some additional pics I could email.
