I haven't mounted a CB in the new XJ yet. The more I think about it the more I am thinking that I am going to mount it on the back of the center council over the top of the ash tray. I am thinking about doing this to keep it out of the way of everything. I was going to run the mic. up and mount on the side of the coucil next to the passenger seat belt clip thingy (technical terms only ). Any inputs? The only problem I for see is that I will not be able to use the ash tray, and it will be a little inconvenient when turning CB on.

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.
How often do you push the buttons and turn the knobs like a curious five year old?
me- never could, and still can't resist turning knobs, pushing buttons, and moving levers. Got me into lotsa trouble when I was little. I'd need my cb 'brains' mounted in an easy to reach location.

I was wondering what rotfl meant for the longest time... don;t worry. It sucks when it nearly happens in the middle of lecture in the most boring class at college!
(basic electricity... the lab part is fun though, and where I actually learn)
