What are the basic differences between the brands? Which ones are good and which ones are bad? The PORC one looks identical to the RE one, but about $125 cheaper. What really is the difference between a HD one and a non-HD one? What one would you put on your own rig?

I'm refering to the NP231, not the NP232. But if someone wants to discuss the NP232 aswell your more than welcome to, just please specify!

the other case is the NP242...fyi


anyways, I am running th PORC unit and it has held up well so far.  I wouldn't waste the money on the same thing from another company (they are basically all identical).

I have heard that the PORC unit is a rebadged Advanced Adaptors. I can't confirm that though.
