Installed my lift today

I installed my lift today, BY MYSELF Thank you very much. Took me about 6 hours. Bought a "clamshell type" spring compressor. Made it MUCH easier.

Only had one problem. One lower rear shock stud broke off, not the whole stud, only the threaded part. How has anyone fixed this problem? I could just grind the stud off flat, and drill and tap it, but I'm also looking for other's who have had this happen, and how you've fixed it.

BTW, it is Rusty's 3" lift with full leaf packs. I got right at 3" in the front, and 5" in the rear. 20.5" front, and 22" in the rear, measured from the wheel center to the flare lip. I drove it for awhile, and it has already settled in the rear 1".

31" Trxus are coming!

Which stud? The top one or the one on the axle shaft?

No sign of ANY wobbles, but I do get a slight vibration at 65-70 mph.  I'm going to wait until it settles before I do anything.  Like I said, it has settled an 1" already.

Time will tell.

Yeah, live life on the edge.  I got on 465, and figured, try it now, death be damned.

I double checked, triple checked everything before I went out.  I had no wobbles after driving for 15 minutes before I went out on the interstate.

I did the same thing after my install, drove it around town for a bit. Took her out on the highway and ran it up to 65 MPH , no issues.

I've had no less than 3 sets of TrXus.........rethink when you get a minute.

If I got 5k out of a set I was happy.......Take a look at the MAXXIS Bighorns, excellent on

the trail/rock and.........street! Great wear thus far......Im beyond sold...compare the tread to MTR's, very, very close.....they grab like crazy.......nuff said....do a google search for a dealer nearest you.

Mark I think your the only person I've ever heard say they don't like thier TrXus. I have a hard time beliving only 5K miles aswell. Can you elaborate a bit more for us? I've been considering them aswell in 34".

I looked on Maxxis.com and I can only find the Creepy Crawler (bighorn is listed as an ATV tire). The Creepy Crawler's smallest size is a 35".

Ok ok ok, here are pictures.  Just a couple I snapped after I got off work, and right before dark.

I fixed the broken shock mount.  I ground it flat, and drilled and tapped it out to 5/16".

I stopped by Patterson's Driveshafts today at noon.  He quoted me a price for a new output shaft, and driveshaft.  Are you sitting down???  $800+!  He went out and looked at it and said the driveline angles looked pretty good to him.  He said drive it for awhile, and see where it settles to.  He said shims might work fine for me.   We'll see.
