Can you do this? I need about 3/4" more up front on my XJ to level it out. I've spent enough already, and if I can stack the used isolaters on top of the new ones to gain that 3/4", I'll do it. They appear to me to measure right at 3/4".
Save me the money a set of 3/4" spacers cost. $40 for a set of 3/4" spacers is CRAZY!
I don't see any problem with it. Most people keep the stock isolators on when adding a spacer. As long as you don't go nuts and stack five or something stupid, you should be fine.

Like I said, I put new isolaters on when I installed the new coils, and I still have to old one. So there would only be 2 isolaters on each side.
I guess some on JF think it isn't "good practice" to do it.
You've done it all "RIGHT" thus far, why skimp out now? I could maybe understand if it was a $200+ part, but it's only $40!
You can probally do it and get away and never had any problems. $40 isn't that bad if you ask me. Poly/Rubber that is formed into mold is actually kinda expensive. Heck I pay 3X's that for 1/4 of the poly/rubber than those spacers are on the Bim's...
I just don't see what the problem is? It's one thing to stack 2" spacers to get 4" of lift. That's not a good idea. Stacking two 5/8" isolators isn't going to harm anything. It's not really the amount of things you stack. It's the height at which you stack them. You are looking at barely over an inch. Just do it.

I jacked the front of the Jeep up this afternoon until it was level with the rear. It's going to take a full 1" to do that. So, I looked on ebay, and found a new set of 1" spacers, and bought them. God how I love ebay!
I also installed a YJ rear brakeline this afternoon. So THAT potential problem is solved. Wheels should be here next week, and the tires the week after. I'll get the spacers in, cut down the bumpstops, and get it aligned. After ALL that I'm done for awhile.
But... let's see.... sliders, gas tank skid, maybe a front bumper.... SOMEONE STOP ME!
Sorry.......but heres another example.........if you invested in ACO's........you would'nt even be talking about this or pulling springs again....... W.......ACO's, their not just for breakfest anymore..... (we put a 'w' in front of ours....waco)
I've thought about them, but they have 1 1/4" of lift "built in" according to the catalogs. I need only 1". Plus, for $200, I can pull the springs and slide the spacer on, and keep the $175 in my pocket. I've gotten pretty good at pulling coils. No big deal.
Oh, and BTW, TA DA.... THIS is MY 100th post. Now leave me alone, 24 is coming on, and I DON'T want to be disturbed!
The way I see it, you can get spacers for really cheap. If you decide to go bigger down the road, you haven't wasted much money. Heck, if you keep them for a year and throw them out, you still got your money out of them. It would add up to a few cents a day. You can also sell them to the next guy and get half of that back.
You could buy taller spacers if you want to go bigger and still be way ahead of the game price wise. Also, if you never do go bigger (famous last words) you haven't wasted your money on the ACOS.
No doubt, ACOS are nice if you have the money to buy them. Spacers are a good alternative for the budget minded (wife-controlled) crowd though.
Me personally, I would use the spacers. The extra money you save could be used for another mod.
