How old are you? we all hang in chat and have a good time. I see you have BDS I love mine. It apears I'm about 5years older than you. But, I think my connection speed might be the biggest problem with chat functions. I live way out here in the sticks, and my dial up connection is only 28.8bbs. Anyhoo, I've never done it. I may give it a try this weekend. I may be an Engineer, but I'm not too Computer Savy.

I second the no dangerous recovery comment. I went wheeling back in february and was having a 1/2 ton chevy pull me out of a hole. He got a little overzealous and took a 10' running start and the strap snapped. We were using two straps so the two hooks in the middle flew about 4" from my face and shot clean thru his grill, radiator, and hit the block. I think I might have been killed by that one. To make things worse he wants me to pay for all of it because he was using my strap. I felt bad for him but at the same time, it was a brand new strap, and he was kind of a dumbass for driving like a pyscho.
Anyways (Back on Topic) I will try to make it. This time with some d-rings and a longer huge strap.
A recovery strap without metal involved went through a radiator? It's his fault for the dumb-arse pull attempt. A full size should be able to idle out a light vehicle like an XJ from most situations.
in other news i feel its nessary to poke fun at andy since he neglected to come to chat last night. andy come on!!! NFL draft???? bad excuse!!!! jeeps >> football . dont get me wrong i love football too but its not even a game!!! besides its your job as an officer!!! didn't you read the small print on the contract??? "being officer means you have to go to all wheeling events. violators will be subject to countless hours of ridicule and harassment!!!" (to the best of your knowledge you didn't sign this but the rest of know what really went down!!!) we gonna have great food!! if i still have doors then you can listen to the draft in my jeep or i can bring a portable tv that plugs into the cigarette lighter(so we can watch the fuzz on there and nothign else...). ok i guess i did my part. everyone elses turn!!
WOW,
Well then I actually changed my mind on coming and I AM going now. What could be better than listening to the NFL draft on the way to a Jeep event !!!!!!!!
Sorry to have almost let you guys down.
Me and the WI crew,, well wait that is me LOL

well guys the jeep looks to have meet its demise today. something in the transmission or transfer case went boom and now no worky. kinda sucks cause i didn't have a big boom or a pop or a squeek, just a little grinding noise for 10 seconds like your tring to go into reverse. i got stuck again and took 20 minutes of pulling (the tow vehical was pulling up to my rear bumper and flooring it to get me out) and then i get out and my starter doesn't work so i crawl under it in the mud to hit my starter with a hammer and then i try to move and no worky. i'm real disappointed i can't go now but at the same time its pretty sweet. i hope i get some good carnage on the inside of the tranny. anyways i think i'm gonna try to ride with someone else.

i thought about it a little more and i think it MIGHT be that my tranny bellhousing is packed full of mud. that would cause the clutch to slip and cause it not to move. the noise was a big concern though so i don't know yet. i'm gonna try to look at it and get back. i guess that makes me a maybe.
