Well long story short I have had this really load squeaking noise coming from the front of the Jeep for about 2 months now the weather is nice and I want to roll down the windows but I can because I will jump out and drop kick the Jeep.:brickwall :brickwall It is sooo loud and NOT cool. Here is the story
I thought it was a belt. Replaced that.....
Only does it when the motor is cold. When the motor gets warm it is gone?
ANY IDEAS It is driving me NUTS !!!!!!!!:brickwall :brickwall
Please any help would be awesome
The local garage had no idea what could be the issue

possibly water pump bearings ? dry and rusty and nothing there to lube till it gets warm and T stat opens up ? im prolly way off on this but ..i lube all my bearings with some white lith ...hard to get to but the tube helps ..then it gets quiter...mines just always noisey

Well I think I will have to take it in at the Stealership.
It just drives me nuts I want to get it fixed.
But at the same time when the motor is warm then it does not do it. ?
o and it will get louder when you go faster and stop when I am at a light ?

ok, this probably isn't it.... but i thought i'd thought i'd throw out an idea. last winter, when it was really cold out, and the vehicle hadn't warmed up yet, every so often my Tracker would freak out and make this loud squealing/grinding kind of noise... well i figured out that it was my speedo sensor and i'm thinking i got dirt or somethin on it and it didn't like it..... this may be a long shot i know, but hey, anything to possibly spark an idea right? at any rate, i hope you get it figured out! nobody likes looking/sounding like a Honkey!

CURRENTLY: 2001 Cherokee Limited 4-dr, 33" Uniroyal Liberator A/Ts, 6-8" well built custom lift (sorry, i haven't measured yet).
SOLD: Project Rig: 87 Cherokee Pioneer 4dr. bone stock now. coming soon: 3" budget lift, go completely doorless and chop the rear cargo area out.
Take a cup of water while it's running and pour on the belt itself. (probally better to have someone else start it since it does it at startup). If it's the belt, the squaling will go away with the water pourd on it untill the water is evaporated.
