DAMN! that's a nice looking cage, and you can still open the doors!

Are you gonna be at the Haspin run?

What do ya bet, the first runaway grocery kart completely misses the cage.
Do you make that yourself?

One of the better designed exo's I've seen.

i'm not sure i like it.  seems like the vertical supports will just push out in a rollover.  theres no triangulation going perpendicular to the XJ so if it rolls over i'd think the top part of the cage would pancake.  true for an exo cage its well designed but i think that in general you need some kinda supporting interior support to make it really good.

Dave you do have a valid point. However it's almost impossiable on an exo to do that and still be able to use your doors. If they were willing to give up the rear doors it could easily be accomplished on this design, however it looks like they still have use of all 4 doors.

I personally would of went the other direction with the back bar on the quarter panel area. Than I would of went of of the "new" bar down like they have it to the fenderwell.

if you read the thread on jeepin....his main goal was body protection....and maybe make a rollover a little safer.  rollover protection was not his first priority.  besides, triangulation is overrated.

anyways, here's his rig from when i wheeled with him on Carnage last year ;)

...and here's where he bent his tie rod that day :p

yea it'd be great for body protection.  as long as you always keep in mind its for body protection you'll be set.  if i had a cage though i'd be much more tempted to get tippy cause i feel safer and with that you'd get a false sense of security in my opinion.  don't get me wrong, its a sweet cage and looks like some real good fab skills but for my purposes its not ideal.  imagine that, somethign that works for one person doesnt' work for another...lol
