I have the A/C working in my Cherokee again!

I finally got around to getting my Xj's A/C going again now that it's warm out.

this is the write-up I followed last year.
http://www.projectxj.com/mods/doorless.htm

2 of the welds have broke since then, but they've been fixed easily.
The doors go on & off real easily, the only holdup is the unplugging the wiring for the windows/locks/speakers. BTW, the rear windows/locks will not work when the front doors are off.

^^^^^----- Aha - it was a problem with the word "Pa55enger" in the URL with a word block.

I also FINALLY have all TJ flares installed.
I now have to paint the rear flares to match the rest of the XJ now.
Some people think they're ugly, but I like them & you can't beat the price! (FREE!)

Hopefully those flares will keep some more mud out of the cab. When I took the doors off the other day, I had to go to the pressure washer & hose out the door jambs from last year at Haspin!

Is it just me or are those 33s looking small in those photos?

ive been wanting to do something like that cause the windows are just too small to cool the inside that well.

is all you have to do(pretending theres no wiring, cause i dont have power anything) just open the door and lift it off?

that would be the best way for me, cause then i can just drop them back on when it looks like it gonna rain. i hope that this works on my MJ doors!

Once you modify the hinges like that link shows, yes, the doors just lift on and off. They are kind of heavy, but I can manage it myself. Sometimes I sit on the doorjamb with the door on my lap to plug/unplug wiring through the little hole; I have power everything. (or at least it did 17 years ago, lol)
