Help Need a Audio freek !!! ?Need help tuning system :)

On the crossover on my amp were is says fqz like 80-110-140-160 ?
Does that mean that it will filter out that sound or is that what it will play up to.

The point of all this is the Cubby sub I just made I cant get to sound good and I was thinking maybe I need to adjust my amp

Does anyone have a write up on to adjust an amp ?

Thanks

I have a Apline 450 V12 amp and a Infinty 8" sub in the cubby hole

How many adjuments do you have? and what kind of music do you listen to?

I usually just adjust the diferent freq. until it sounds good.

yeah, tuning and adjustment of an amp is crucial in getting the best sound out of your subwoofer. my first question is though, the "inside" of the box/cubby hole, is it totally air tight inside???? if it's not, you need to go get a can of "insta-foam" and seal up every little hole and crack in there. and without being able to see it, or get my hands on it, it's hard for me to tell ya what to set things at, i'm one of those who has to do it in person, hands on and use my ears as my tuner. i may look into your amp model and sub model and see if i can get you a better answer as far as adjustment goes... time allowing.
