35's

Well Jason sent me a PM on some cheap 35's and they come with rims and I was wantin to buy these rims any was and the price right now is basicly for just the rims new. They are BFG's MT's 35 x 12.50.  They have are 40% tread left. So i am thinkin of buyin them and just playin around with them and trimming alot. What do you guys think. With my 32.5's aka my 32 TSLs I had room still and couldn't completely stuff a wheel, like it hit the fender and not move. So for $150 i am thinking y not

If you don't let me know, I'd be interested in them.

go for it!!!  i put 33's on when most people said they wouldn't fit so of couse, fit 35's where most people think they don't fit!  just take the wheel off and take a big hammer and pound anything inside the fender that might hit the tire over so the tire doesn't get cut up.  there is a seam in the front that needs pounded over.  you also might need to cut the lower part of the fenders off.  kinda hard to explain but like the part of the fender that is rocker panel also.  i cut the crap outta that part too.  and you can cut a lot in the back but u just gotta take hammer to it when your done to pound the inner fender out to make contact with the outter fender.

Yeah i know I already looked at what to wack and cut. Also i still get a bad wobble over 45 so I am thinkin my TRE's are shot, so Dave I might be coming over to get that GC knuckle and links.  I think I will just liek the look of 35's and 4-5" of lift.

ok cool, i gotta find them in my pile o' junk.  i can't garenttee that the TRE's are good on this either as i've never had it on a truck.  i'll look when i get home later this week, probably friday or saturday cause during the week i plan on trading my rear 60 for a 14 bolt and then shaving the crap outta the 14 bolt.  when i'm done its gonna have the clearance of a dana 44 but the strength of a 14 bolt    (did you guys know there is no  smiley here?  i just treid to use it and it didn't work...)

I have the 33x12.5s on my rig with under 3" of lift.
As you saw, I'm hard on my axles/driveline and have never broke anything wheeling.

You might need to regear & will need to add a tranny cooler, or possibly upgrade axles, but otherwise with the right trimming & bumpstops you should be good to go. I you think about it they're only 1.5" larger all the way around than your old 32s. (Plus, I am not sure if BFG tires measure actual like Interco (swampers) do; they might actually be around 34-33.5" actual with wear.)
