Bias vs. Radial

So I have a line on a set of bias tires, but am afraid of them on the street. Does/have anyone ran a bias tire on the street, or is that a big NO-NO?

I'm having a hard time finding an agressive radial tire I'm happy with (tread pattern, plus cost), it seems all the really agressive ones are all bias.

Anyone have any thoughts?

from what i've heard bias plys suck for the 1st couple miles till they get warm.  after they warm up some they natarally round out and ride much smoother.  for the 1st few miles they have a flat spot where they were resting.  thats the only thing i've heard about them.  gernally, the sidewalls are as thick if not thicker on bias since they are more agressive/not supported by steal belts so sidewall flex shouldn't be a huge concern either.  i think as long as you can live with a rough ride a few minutes each drive you should be fine with bias.  plus they work better off-road aired down!!

Back in the old days ... before radials were even heard of ... all we drove on highway were bias belted tires. Always did fine with them. Depending on what material the belts re made of, they may have 'flat spots' until they warm up. Even some radials have 'flat spots'. When radials first started being used, most performance people and race cars preferred bias belted tires.

Just my .02
