Well update for the week, I finished installin all the new steering stuff. I got the newer draglink and TRE for the pitmasn arm since 91 and older its slightly smaller than 92 and up. Also I had the sleeved tie rod on. It is really nice actually having the jeep aligned. I still have a small shimmy it might be from the 35's or my steering box. And I got pucks to bumpstop the front.
Anybody else get what they wanted done?

CURRENTLY: 2001 Cherokee Limited 4-dr, 33" Uniroyal Liberator A/Ts, 6-8" well built custom lift (sorry, i haven't measured yet).
SOLD: Project Rig: 87 Cherokee Pioneer 4dr. bone stock now. coming soon: 3" budget lift, go completely doorless and chop the rear cargo area out.
I thought that I would bring this post back. I have just put new U-joints in the front axle, alternater, powersteering pump, Duralast Gold battery, and thermastat. Now that all the maintenance stuff is done with, maybe I can get some stuff to help it on the trail.
I have a DPG belly skid that I would like to put on, I have to move the Cadlic (sp?) Converter moved first though. Then Rock Rails prolly early spring. Also have some hood vents that need to be installed.

I miss the days that they made toys that could kill a kid.
I've got to finish up what I got started. After doing bodywork all day, just don't feel like going home and doing it some more. Burned out. Than bought 2 more xjs and have to get them home this weekend and next. Sold broncos so no cost, but fuel cost, and time. These are the last. Time to get down and get them done. Riding season is comming--bikes-- They are done and just waiting!!!
Well a few weeks back I finally figured out my CLUNKING NOISE. I had just about gave up on it till it became a bang noise. Long story short. The tool who onwed it before me, thought it would be a great ides to weld the top of the rear shocks to the body. Now one has broke free and throu the floor. Yehaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. I know this has to be fixed but I am undecided as to what direction to go.
a) Buy new shocks and fix floors (somehow), and stick with old and worn lift.
b) Buy a new lift kit in the spring with tax return , and take care of it then.
c) Find previous onwers house and put a huge box of dog mess,( and some of mine) on his front lawn and light it up. Yes I have previous experiance and with it have contributated to global warming.
I'll post some pics so all can point and laugh. Or maybe give me some ideas how to go about fixing the floor.

Do you really need a new lift? Maybe (a) will be your best option, as you're gonna have to fix the whole anyway. Don't waste money on a new lift if it's only the shocks that are bad in the current one.

My guess is that the person who installed the lift broke one of the shock bolts in the rear (we all do, nothing new there) and instead of fixing it correctly they just welded the bar-pin to the body of the Jeep.
Depending on where the hole is and if the factory shock mount area is trashed or not you may be able to run THIS to solve your issues.
im planning on tires next and regearing the back. then save up more money to do the front, then either a custom cage or rear tire carrier, depends on what mood im in when i have money...lol
