Productive 1.5hr

Yesterday I got my tow hooks on the Jeep.  These are the hooks that I used:

All went well except for one bolt on the front L-brace.  We could not get to the other side of the frame to put the washer and nut on, so we just welded it on where the bolt was supposed to be... Looks like this is never coming off.

Also put homebrew quick disco's on. Used pins simular to the ones in this write up.

The guy that helped me sugested that I buy pins that have a handle on the end of them.  It was to late to get to TSC on time but this will be done shortly.  I cannot find pics of these pins on line but a lot of farmers use them for there hitch pins.  The handle side of them is usually painted red.  This should make disconecting them much easier, having something to pull on instead of trying to beat them out.

All of this was done in 1.5 hrs .... I couldn't beleive it.  Usually at least something goes wrong.  Sorry there were no pics.  I forgot a camera and so did my buddy.

Sorry I wasn't able to help Andy. I had other plans prior and made a few promises.

I do need to get my new bumper and shackel's on sometime. Maybe we can hook up and do that!

That's fine. There was 3 of us already, so one more prolly would have been to many. I leave for the St. police academy on the 26th. After that I will only be home Friday nights through Sunday nights. Let me know. I still have that sound bar if you want it. You can have it, I don't use it.

all I know is that I wouldn't trust myself drilling like that! (then again I have no drill press)
*referring to the homebrew disco setup in first post

If you don't want to drill & do what Adam did, here's what I did:

The top end doesn't need modified, in my opinion, it just swings on up out of the way.

That is the way that I did my home brew disco's too.   I'm not quite sure that I know what you are talking about when you say that I had to use a drill press, because we didn't drill anything.
